Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

idle_wilder - choc chips are in short supply here too. People keep saying that it's 'getting back to normal' but I can't buy yeast or light soft brown sugar though one of my lovely neighbours got me some icing sugar the other day and I was happy to be able to get her glace cherries in return as she'd been unable to find any. I had to whizz the oats to make the flapjack as I could only buy jumbo ones. First world problems I know.

I do wish that baking wasn't my default distraction/self soothing activity especially when I'm doing it because I can't run.

EP I've essentially made naked bars before - as they label all their ingredients with percentages you can work out the proportions. Then blended everything up into a sticky mess in the food processor before pressing into a tray. But you could easily turn them into balls.. usually consisted of mainly dates with other dried fruit & nuts thrown in. You could also roll in desiccated coconut to stop them being sticky.
