Thanks Mandy.

Black bean brownies will be baked today as MiL has requested them - it's her 75th tomorrow.

I was feeling really miserable so made Mary Berry cheese scones too. Was very tempted by the cinnamon roll on the site Mandy linked to.

Sourdough. Second attempt much better. More of the sourdough taste. Used it to make toast woth homemade hummus as part of afternoon tea.

Savoury course (eaten whilst at zoom performance thingy) - cheese tartlets, mini pasties with veg curry filling, soft white mini rolls (homemade) as cucumber sandwich, hummus on sourdough toast and cheese scones with cream cheese and roast pepper.

Sweet course (eaten a bit later). Fruit compote and yoghurt pots in tea glasses, mini cherry scones with jam and cream, apple cake.

Prosecco/tea/coffee to wash it down.

Feeling quite lethargic now.

That's a very impressive spread LF!

Made pretzels here; daughter used to like them from a place in the nearest shopping centre. Nice soft dough but I'm not sure I'd bother with the "boil in baked bicarb" bit next time. I made them as bite-size bits rather than the traditional shape. Recipe: bbcgoodfood.com

I've seen the flour & yogurt bread in a Madhur Jaffrey book, she uses it to make naans. Works well as a non-baked flatbread, ie roll out thinly, cook in a dry pan on the oven then finish under the grill. Had never thought of doing other shapes but the garlic knots look lovely.
