I baked it and Stef decorated it. We had friends round this afternoon in the garden and there’s not much left now

OMG I really shouldn't have come in here that strawberry cream cake looks deliciously delectable. Strawberry and yoghurt will have to do instead for me knocking the full fat full sugar on the head for a bit (at least during the week).

GM. - Good sourdough really is good enough to not need butter. Although Raffo always does. I don’t. Also, in some ways, it IMPROVES as it lasts.

That's a lush cake, DT. Can't beat a Victoria sponge.
I made a Queen of Puddings this afternoon. We'd still got some Orange Drizzle from last week so I use that instead of breadcrumbs. All was well until the meringue topping expanded so much that it hit the oven rack above it - despite there being a sizeable gap to start with. When I pulled the pudding out of the oven, half the meringue stayed attached to the rack so I had a bit of rebuilding to do and it wasn't worthy of a photo. It tasted ok thought

Yesterday was boy2's birthday, he cooked pancakes for breakfast and requested pavlova instead of birthday cake. I also made a honey wheat loaf, but it was pretty much gone before I remembered to take a photo. More successful than last week's dense brick of wholemeal.
