Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

With the spelt rolls .. do you just spoon the dough out in the morning .. and cook them straight away. Or do they need to rise again after you’ve dolloped them into roll sized dollops. ? I’m wasn’t quite sure and love the idea fir breakfast rolls. I guess it would work with other flour as well?

Just bake runnyeyes, no second prove required.

That looks lovely Elsie.

A shame you couldn't have persuaded LittleD to do something with them Linds. Microwave meringues would have worked for tonight's pudding and not much faff? Too late now I guess.

Microwave meringues, you say....?

We generate a lot of egg whites because of my carbonara habit

Used to make them years ago when microwaves were new fangled things :-)

You can get recipes using caster sugar too if you don't have any icing sugar.

Disappointed today - thought I was getting some baking powder but it came into stock in time for me to order it yesterday and went out again by the time they picked the order.

Microwave meringues?! I just chucked the remainder of a bottle of egg whites, but will keep this in mind in future! :)

Blitz any sugar in a food processor and it’ll turn into icing sugar.

I've made chocolate orange cake. Pics tomorrow when I cut it so you can see the inside.

I make meringue with leftover egg whites when I make carbonara. If I can make it, anyone can!
