Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Pie looks fab. Spuds would probably stand a few more minutes cooking though

I make 'fake' Angel Delight by mixing plain skyr yoghurt with vanilla protein whey powder than add either zero sugar strawberry syrup or walden farm no sugar caramel syrup. Combination of the whey powder and artificial flavourings means its very close to the real thing e numbers and all.

To go back a few pages, using the tip of the bread knife to slash the top of the sourdough loaf was much better - thank panad for the suggestion!

Due to our house renovations, and temporary kitchen for the next 9-12 months, we have a little oven right now (https://www.mitre10.co.nz/shop/breville-mini-oven-toast-roast-pro-1650-watt-28-litre/p/336352). It is surprisingly effective, and for many things more reliable than our very old gas oven. Still getting working out the best time/temp for sourdough bread. This is the third loaf I think, and is slightly "Paul Hollywooded" i.e. on the burnt side of cooked after 40 minutes at 170.
