O yes, we had chocolate concrete as well.. (for fear of being shown the door I’ll whisper my hatred of all things shortbread-like, adding cocoa powder to the mix did not help!)

I used to love chocolate cracknel we got at school - looks similar to the cornflake thing, but not quite. Will need to have a search!

I don't remember chocolate concrete, but proper flashbacks at the pink custard!
Semolina with chocolate flakes, Jam sponge, lemon curd sponge chocolate sponge (with choc custard if you were lucky). Pink blancmange, hot jam tart. I have many more memories of pudding than savoury, but can still remember the smell of the hall when doing assembly/PE. The mix of sweaty children, and cooking fumes was very particular. I'll have a look at the book too.

I don’t remember the coconut. Everything on t’internet looks waaay posh to me. Short crust pastry. Raspberry jam. Custard well set (possibly with skin on)
