Yes those are the ones. They just kind of soften everything. I think I concentrate better with them in.

Thanks halfpint I've ordered the flare earplugs and I'll look forward to them arriving. jelly when I was checking up on the flare earplugs, and read the reviews, there was one user who found they didn't work that well for them (I can quite understand that, it's a personal thing, not a criticism of the flares) and wrote that they tried the loop earplugs which helped them a lot. If the flares don't give me the relief I'd like, then I'll be trying the loops next. |

I will suggest those for my eldest. Next door have two toddlers (they are lovely), but obviously can be very noisy and my son doesn't cope very well with it. Could be a lifesaver as he is starting a degree course this week and he could be on edge anyway. He dropped out of his last course which wasn't working out for him for a variety of reasons. |

Any noise you can’t control can become a problem. Last week next doors Alexa alarm went on for hours in the middle of the day, not loud but really started to get to me after a while. There are lots of times I could do with having earplugs when I’m out and about but as I’m old I’ve not really got into the habit.

Buying my noise cancelling headphones changed my life. They were pricey, buy they now owe me nothing - the hum of traffic when out walking is zapped, supermarket racket eliminated, and before I started this disastrous management act-up, blocked out work noise to help me concentrate. They're big, bulky, and brilliant |

jelly my daughter uses Bose comfort 35. Pretty pricey but an absolute game changer for her. She finds them comfortable over her glasses. As well as the noise cancelling, she finds them perfect for avoiding interactions when the world is just too much - people don't talk to you when you're wearing headphones.

a while ago I had water in my ears and couldn't hear very well, everything was muffled. Went shopping and was surprised at the difference this made, all of a sudden it wasn't so overwhelming, I happily stayed in my little muffled world while getting what I needed and came home feeling quite chilled out!

Over ear headphones hurt my head because I wear glasses! I have the snappily titled Sony XM4 headphones, wireless over ear headphones. Whilst I'm normally a contact lens wearer, when I do wear my specs I've not noticed any pain (first headphones to not be uncomfortable ever for me) I think the only negative I've found for them is that after a walk I get sweaty ears! And damp hair where they've been over my ears. A small price to pay to show the world I'm blocking it out. |
