Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

I've got a random court on BBC iPlayer and rain has stopped play. The commentators have gone for a break so there is just the background noise of the crowd. It's rather lovely :-)

Always nice when the commentators take a break. Especially Andrew Bloody Castle.

Just watched the Gauff v Kenin match which was brilliant - apart from having to yell "Shut up, Martina!" every few mins :-)

The commentators do get rather annoying. I often watch iPlayer and find the matches on outside courts without commentary.

Probably still sulking that I didn't get tickets this year, I haven't really watched much and tended just to stick to the highlights.

I don't mind the commentators although I do find some of the players annoying. Take a certain Russian teenager who behaves as such and argues like Vicky Pollard even though we can tell racket abuse when we see it.

As I'm not working currently I've been watching nearly all day every day! I like Mirra Andreeva, she's got a good game even if she's a bit stroppy.

Looking forward to Medvedev vs Eubanks tomorrow - 6 foot 6 against 6 foot 7! :-o

There's always one. I think it was Ostapenko who had a few tantrums last year.

I was most irritated by McEnroe's mispronunciation of Carlos Alcaraz's name - fair enough for most, but if your job is tennis, surely just get it right?

I've enjoyed a lot of the tennis, lots of seeds falling in the mens which has made for interesting match-ups. Shame it's likely to come down to Djokovic v Alcaraz with an air of predictability about that - never been able to warm to Djokovic and look forward to his retirement whenever it comes.

Whereas Andrew Castle said he'd barely heard of the world number 43. Again, many people might not know much about him, but when it's your job he's barely an unheard of. He's a total fraud as a commentator.

Castle is just awful. Last year commentating at Queens he started waffling on about football. Guy's an absolute moron.
