Don't get me started on ironing... we bought a steam generator iron yesterday and found myself volunteering to do the kids' uniforms for school! Will get onto my shirts tonight. The joy!

[Note: Some of the above is tongue-in-cheek... but alarmingly, not all of it!]

i can't be bothered with running to work (am sure to forget somethign important, like pants!) but i do sometimes run home - i just leave my shoes/jacket at work and pick them up the next day (travel in trainers), everything else fits in my backpack.. in summer i don't even need to leave stuff really.

That folder looks excellent. I don't have the sort of job where people worry about ironed shirts but bringing them to work in my bike pannier does make them crumpled enough that I begin to worry about it.

I'm fortunate enough to have a locker & showers at work. One thing that makes it work relatively easily is running home one day then back into work the next, which minimises the amount of stuff you have to bring in and leave at work, and the amount of stuff you have to carry while you are actually running. Clearly useless if you're planning to run in and out every day.

Running to work is indeed great - training done while you would have been travelling anyway ;)

You've hit the nail on the head Badger - that and avoiding standing on the Tube, picking up everyone else's germs! I'm hoping to run to/from work occasionally to reduce the number of evenings I have to spend on the treadmill in the garage just to fit in a training run.

Work overran really badly for me last night. If I hadn't run home, I would have got home about 9pm, and by the time I'd eaten, I just wouldn't have got out to run.
As it was, I got home not long after 9pm, with several miles under my belt. Result.

I drive in with a load of shirts when needed, pretty much anything else can be rolled in a rucsack without severe creasing. roll, don't fold, and if you have shower gel in the rucsack, make sure the lid is on.

And yoghurt. I sometimes run in with my lunch or breakfast in my bag.

This does *not* always go well.

although I haven't had a yoghurt incident for a while...

A yogurt incident does not sound pleasant.
