He has his heart set on shoes for xmas - I think he'd cry if I got him plimsoles As it happens his feet are currently the same size as mine she when he grows out of this pair I would inherit a pair of shoes.

Are you near a climbing wall? Especially one that that runs NICAS courses for youngsters. Our local has an advert wall which includes second hand shoes (mainly kids). |

Was going to suggest the advert wall at your local wall, you could always put up a 'wanted' too Alternatively our wall sells off the rental shoes every so often |

Am keeping an eye on the for sale board - will stick up a wanted sign as well. Good idea!

I think you'll struggle to find second hand reliably. Especially with newer climbers they get trashed quickly until good footwork is learned. There are some cheaper shoes made for kids though - have a look at the links on this page, especially the Mad Rock ones. |

Just spotted this. I have friends who climb in Bristol at St W and Red Point. I generally just boulder at the moment but I think my friends would be happy for someone to join them if people on here are looking for climbing partners.

Hmmm! I will keep searching. A lot of those kids ones don't go big enough for him
