I think of it more as "playing" or "upper body work that doesn't involve pointless reps with dumbells"

Wow this thread has gone quiet. Is there another on this subject I've missed? Anyway, hope everyone is well. I'm looking for a bit of advice for climbing near Ambleside. Ideally I'm looking for a grade 3 scramble or similar climb that myself and MiniFF can do while Mrs and Micro-FF bypass it on the way towards a summit. Any local or experienced advice is welcome. |

Matt... We're members of Undercover Rock at St.Werburghs undercover-rock.com My partner (paul b) might be able to partner you on occasion as he is a little more advanced (and more confident) than me so would like to go climbing more often than we do |

7755Mat - I work in Bristol, and am hoping to use St Werburghs as some cross training. This is likely to be Monday lunch times. Though I know someone who may be interested in evening/weekends. What grade do you climb at? There is also a bouldering wall nearby that was set up recently. I'll dig out a link. |

I usedto do 5-6 at my old wall. Not climbed for a while but would liek to get some more time in, especially as cross training and looking to get more time in over the apporaching winteke Have seen St Werbutghs. Not far from where Im now living, so I'll have to pop down and register Trin - that would be cool, not sure when I'll be going yet though Furry Feet - Monday lunch times might be good in a month or so, once I've got a bit more settled and have more organisation wih my current project (getting people to do it for me :-)) |

Matt.. as Trin said earlier I would be up for some climbing at St Werbughs, think I am similar level, though not done a lot this year. Currently just recovering from a hernia op last week, so don't suppose I will be climbing till late October though. Hope we can sort something out in the future, cheers.

Hello there. I wanted to pick your brains a bit. my 10 yr old and I have just started climbing. I want to get him shoes but loath to pay a fortune. Any suggestions where to look for second hand. Have tried gumtree and ebay but wondered if there were forums where that sort of thing might be discussed.
