A Climbing Weekend Group for the autumn. Date to be decided. Probably fairly soon, at a time when eL Bee! can climb but isn't quite back into running

That's brilliant news eL Bee! I'm so uncoordinated! I'm not very good at most sports which is why I took up running after my hip was fixed. After all putting one foot in front of the other... can't go too wrong there! But I also found that I can 'do' climbing! Will have to look up info about the climbing wall! Ta!

I could be persuaded to join a climbing weekend, or at least one with some interesting crags nearby (not convinced I'd want to travel far just to pull on plastic). It's a while since I've been on the sharp end, and would be fun to get out again.
In response to the question about low upper body strength, a decent proportion of low to mid grade climbers aren't huge hulks. For most easier stuff technique matters more, and you can often see slight elegant types saunter up stuff that more powerful types grunt and stuggle on. If you start fairly weak it forces you to discover good technique earlier on, and you'll develop the relevant strength with time.
