I've managed to get Hogwarts Legacy to work OK on my 8 yr old laptop with relatively low end graphics card by turning everything off! It's a lovely looking game. And on easy mode it's really just walking around following instructions! Good for a weekend with a cold! G

I started playing it on story mode a few months ago and was surprised how much I enjoyed it. Perfect for when you're feeling a bit run down and want something to relax with. I've finished the main quest and now running around mopping up treasure caves and side quests before the end of term.

Sarbear - I'm so rubbish at games, I get great value out of them, because it takes me ages to progress and not sure I've ever complete many games, even the main story line! G

I did manage to update the drivers on my own (yay me), but I think it's just one particular game that is now a problem as the others seem to be working fine. After 10-15 minutes the fans start howling at me and it cuts out completely. Think it might be a "memory leak" issue after a recent patch. It's a shame because it's a very nice game (Luma Island) and it would have been good to get some time on it over the weekend. My PC probably does need a good clean out though (I think it's been about 2 years since I last did it and we now have a dog shedding everywhere. |

Lol, I thought you meant "clean out" as files, caches etc. Rather than dog hair actually clogging up fans! Def that isn't good, if so! G

I thought you meant files and stuff too! I have the same problem with dog hair, dogs don't come up here and they don't come up, and I'm in the attic and they still manage to get up here! Wonder if your settings are too high and it's causing it to get too warm and cut out? Just an idea I've had a blast on Luma Island, it is a good game I agree there! |

I need to clean files out too. I did quite a lot previously, but I need to work out how to move Skyrim from one drive to another without breaking it (having actually completed it this year).

Oooo I do love a good Skyrim play through! Go on, what's your game play tactic? I usually use swords and magic, going for an all out strike 'em down. But just started a new game where I'm a sneaky archer!

Need recommendations. I’m still in mourning from finishing 3 playthroughs of BG3. I’ve tried Ratchet and Clank Rift Apart but it seems a bit pointless. More recently been playing The Last of Us but despite changing all the settings it gives me terrible motion sickness. Any ideas?
