Hello, also new here but I play games sometimes...I bought Hogwarts Legacy from the Steam Sale recently too. I'm also playing it on story mode so it's very undemanding but nicely done and plenty to see and do. The big game I'm counting down for is Dragon Age: Veil Guard. Comes out on 31 October so Hogwarts is likely to get parked for a while to let me focus on that. I got a new gaming PC and screen a few weeks ago as the old one was 8 years old and didn't support the spec of the new Dragon Age game. The difference in performance is insane! Especially the graphics, I can't get over it. |

Hogwarts is the first one that's challenged my 6 yr old laptop hardware. I usually buy older games so it isn't a problem. I need to not just buy games that I think look great because I really don't get through games quickly and I've got plenty not finished. Or not even started! I need to look at Story Mode. I'm on Easy mode. G |

Mary Minion wrote: Etrian Odyssey looks like it might be a good one for me, is it a grindy game or a chill one? I'm down for it being either I find Etrian both grindy and chill, strangely! Story-light JRPG, primary focus is dungeon crawling and mapping, which for me is really meditative. |

I enjoyed Hogwarts Legacy for a bit, but I got bored after a while because of the endless 'Newton Sprocklewhort needs you to get five biddlewheeds from Nether Trumpton' quests.

Hogwarts Legacy does get tedious with the quests, but after grinding for 4 days straight think I over did it for a while! Dungeon crawling sounds like my kinda chill :D |

I have issues. I bought a PS2 for 50 quid off ebay and have been using it as a time machine. Playing Tiger Woods 2004 like I'm back at uni again.

Ah, the PS2 feels like it was peak gaming times. That, my Dreamcast and my GBA were my major university distractions
