Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

I'm kind of picking my way through classic games on PS4. Been noodling with God of War, but it hasn't really grabbed me yet.

Yes.

I think it grabbed me mostly when in the first fight with the Reavers - when they grabbed Atreus my heart was in my mouth

Ragnarok is a worthy follow up, but for me doesn't quite hit the heights of GoW.

I love the dynamic between the father and son; and having played through it with my boy, it resonates for us both. Except my boy now has a deeper voice than me, so he does the Kratos quotes :-)

Succumbed to Hogwarts Legacy on Steam sale at £14.99 and then spotted Call of Cthulhu for £3.59 so further succumbed!

Maybe ridiculous but I cannot play anything Hogwarts-linked due to Robert Galbraith.

Currently playing Astro Bot and Ratchet & Clank: A Rift Apart. Astro is perfection.

Robert Galbraith, as in Rowling's pen name for crime fiction. The writing's not *that* bad?! :-) G

The things she/he writes are terrible and damaging, I can't support any of that - and the irony of her choosing a male pen name appears lost on her.

Fortunately there are so many good games and people around that I never feel I'm missing out. I mean, some of the Astro Bot levels cause me to paint the air blue with curses, but it's just so charming that I get dragged back in for more punishment.

Great soundtrack, too. That and Hades are two of my go-tos for putting on whilst WFH when I need to focus in on a task.
