I also picked up Dave the Diver and I'm very much enjoying it so far. It's quickly getting to the point where I'm able to spend longer on the diving than on the Sushi restaurant part but I think I might enjoy the Tapper mechanics slightly more than the diving.

My children have played both Animal Crossing (on Nintendo DS) and Stardew Valley (on PC) when they were younger. There was a very important lesson learned in Animal Crossing as the characters are persistent and can leave the gameworld (there was even a feature where they could go to someone else's linked Niintendo DS). My son gave a mean response to one of his long term character's requests and the next day was really upset as the character permanently left the game, leaving a 'Dear John' note.

Spyro Reignited Trilogy, £12 on Steam sale. Loving it! Forgotten how much fun. It's pretty easy so far, so much so that I could play it with a broken controller! But annoying, so bought a new controller for PC. Inflation though! £10 out of Asda 3 years ago is now £22 for exactly the same device. Though annoyingly I've just check on Amazon and it's £14 there. Hmm. Oh well!

Also got Little Nightmares II for £8 on Steam sale. One to play after dark! :-) G

I remember Spyro fondly. That said SM Wonder has kind of put me off platformers for a while

I don’t dislike SM Wonder (as recommended by the good folk of this thread) - but a little goes a long way.

Over 40 hours into OT2. It's theoretically 'about 60 hours' to complete. I don't reckon I'm half way, unless things come together earlier than I expect.

Ah HappyG(rrr) I just bought the Spyro and Crash trilogies for my lad. He likes the challenge of crash but if he gets stuck flips over to spyro for a bit of a reprieve from
The difficulty. He’s enjoying them.

I played a wee game called “Florence” on switch. It’s more like an interactive comic book than a game. Really short, maybe 90mins. Often on sale on the Nintendo store for about £2. Really nice, emotional story that should resonate with most people on some level.

And I kind of dipped my toes into Tunic on PS. Not ideal to be playing that alongside Zelda, but there we go! It’s good.

I've been playing Tunic, too. Lovely game, but just hit a significant difficulty spike in the West Garden and needed to set it aside, so have been power-washing :)
