Pretty cliquey? In what manner? It's always seemed pretty welcoming to me. |

The daily bloggers are similar, the daily commenters on the daily blogs are similar. If you were someone new coming over from We had an exact moment of this on the sub 2:45 thread the other day. Someone new comes in asks a training question. There's a bunch of banter by LT fetch users (I won't use the word Fetchie, sorry as I hate that term, I do find that infantile) and the new user asks WTF are you guys about. Fair play, total fair play to them.... I'm guilty too, look at my number of forum posts!! But, Fetch is a weird place imho, once that's been formed by it's users to what they would like it to be. It's the most powerful training log / analytical tool out there but it's much more than that, much more, like it or loathe it and I think that makes it a less obvious choice for some. |

but, I totally get the need for anonymity thing for some professions. I have friends on other social media that use pseudonyms. I think that's pretty common.

Dave W - if you look at page 1 of the forum currently, there are threads with titles that it would be a bit confusing if you're anticipating mostly training related threads. Nothing wrong with it - just a bit more to get your head round. I have found it very welcoming and stayed for the non-training threads |

I didn't like the "L-plates" but they did make it very obvious when a new forum user was posting, maybe we all need to be a little more aware and inclusive of our new friends. I wonder whether the home page should have the training log more front and centre with a "you can also try..." for forum and blogs etc? I'm guessing most long term users don't see the home page for very long? |

I'd forgotten about the training feed which is similar to the fetcheveryone.com/whostraining.php?filter=all&category=R&date=2020-05-21 All I need now is for everyone I follow on |

As a newbie I would disagree that it's cliquey. To me it seems a place for people who are really passionate about their running so I personally would expect to see a lot of serious athletes on here (so I'm not sure what I'm doing here lol).

Most of us take our sport seriously, but we don't take ourselves too seriously.

If I go into a new forum or online group I expect to take a bit of time to get a feel for the place and be accepted just as I would if I went into a new social group in real life. It's probably easier online because nobody has to see you hanging around looking bewildered.

Its a place for people who are passionate about running yes but that doesn't mean you have to be fast or the best - passionate is your feeling for the sport not your ability or I might be asked to leave too!
