It was refreshing to be up in the hills around Braemar. 4.5 mile circular loop.

I've got a quick question about tracking walking. Do you track everything or just longer walks? For example, I walk a mile to and from the train station Monday-Friday but don't record it on my Garmin. Do people just enter these types of walks manually?

I'd certainly record and log a mile of constant walking nowadays, although I didn't always. I don't "track" walking as in counting steps or having my Garmin in fitness tracking mode and recording odd hundredths of a mile of milling around.

Excellent. I've just measured my slow stroll around Four Oaks using Mapometer and have logged it. I appear to have 'killed' my Garmin as it hasn't been used for so long.

Morning DT, when you add you're training there's a bit where it says "edit categories"
Look at cross training and tick either hiking or walking , then in each training entry,it will let you choose walking or hiking ,
When you've logged more than 10 miles a month you will be on the walking mileage league.
Hope this helps.

I log anything that is over 1 mile on my Garmin. I do a few miles most day as part of my commute and around the office but it's lots of little bits.
