I note that the current leader in the walking league has logged 59 miles walking in a single day... Hmmm.

Conversely, I logged a 2.4 mile outing yesterday as having taken me 25 hours. I didn't have my watch with me, I guess I must be rubbish at estimating time.

I don't think it is - if you check his training log, everything is duplicated: two watches on the go, methinks...

if so , that's a good effort.

I forgot about this thread, how daft. Currently, as you may have noticed, upping my walking a little to compensate for less running....also doing a lot more weight/core, which I should have been doing in any case.

If you look at the two sections, mile 16 is the only slower mile in both of them, so duplication with two devices sampling slightly differently cannot be ruled out.

I’ve not been feeling the love for running the last couple of months so I’ve upped my walking this month. My aim is top of the league for December. So far so good.

In a working day, I walk about a mile in both directions between modes of transport. I don't bother with any extra such is between my desk and the printer, for example, although a colleague is always checking her steps.

Would any suspicious distances be caused by a Garmin being activated while on a train?

I log my dog walks in the mornings. Sometimes I forget to stop my Garmin and only notice when it reaches the next mile while I'm in the car! I discard the walk from the watch and then add manually later.

(It doesn't happen now, I retired last week! :-) )
