Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Yes, I must admit I've adopted that tactic. Or run then through the vacuum brewer. My preferred drink is an Americano though, so I will usually give the beans a good in the gaggia and see what happens with a good guess on the grind setting.

Very interesting review. I have a simpler Sage machine with a separate Krupps grinder and have got the grind off to a fine art.

My current favourite coffee is the Sumartra from Miles (based in Somerset but they do mail order).

Thanks @Diogenes That’s a great review - very informative. I feel like a want to get one now, so will wait for Jan sales.

My local Oxfam shop keeps being shut, so I’ve not been able to restock on Cafe Direct’s Machu Picchu. I’ve ended up with a Suma espresso grind which is pretty good. I need to make an expedition to a local roastery soon.

I ended up with a second Suma espresso pack, after forgetting to tweak my organic box order. Made coffee for family today and they loved it. I will buy from local roasters soon. Maybe I’ll treat myself for Christmas.
