jacdaw 16 Jul 12:19pm, 16 Jul 2024 4,511 posts	0 jacdaw Is 5 years old for a coffee machine? My Silvia is 14, and going strong. Well strongish; the steam knob is wobbly and it's lost a big bit of trim. If I had to replace a machine after 5 years... I'd buy a different brand.

It's not 100% as it was, it has had a new boiler and a strip down of the steam wand with a new washer in there, as well as "upgrading" it with a PID controller and wrapping a black vinyl around it to fit better into the kitchen, but it is still going strong.

There also seems so be a bit extra of some on Amazon for Prime Day, amazon.co.uk
