It works aiui by vacuum suction, rather than rising steam. (And I think it was me who prompted larkim's purchase.) Apparently it's also how a character in Animal Crossing makes their coffee.

I know Hann rated her DeLonghi and I’m tending towards that. Anyone else got any recommendations? I want to be able to make proper coffees for visiting family - barista stylee!

Sage Bambino / Bambino Plus look good value for money and get decent reviews too. But remember, it's less about the coffee machine, more about the grinder and fresh beans

Larkim - I’ve had 2 really good standalone Gaggia grinders in the past, so had a look at their coffee machines. I like the styling. I got rid of my Krups grinder so any grinder recommendations would be great too. If I got a Bambino, I’d have to put a picture of Paul Ritter on the side.
