Blimey - all that rebrewing must’ve caffeinated everyone’s heads off!

Been in London all week and not had a chance to get to Algerian coffee stores. Hopefully tomorrow.

panad thanks for sharing that article - takes me back to my chemistry research days; one of my fellow student's favourite phrases was "sonicate it"! A very useful technique for cleaning small things like needles, if they were clogged.

Coming in several weeks late - a vintage Cona with integral heater :-) Squeee! I use occasionally my father's stovetop one. It works aiui by vacuum suction, rather than rising steam. (And I think it was me who prompted larkim's purchase.)

Apparently it's also how a character in Animal Crossing makes their coffee.

I had to look up Animal Crossing @Dvorak I also had to look up vintage Cona. That would look lovely in my kitchen!

Right coffee kidz. I’m moving house soon and would like to get a proper coffee machine. I know Hann rated her DeLonghi and I’m tending towards that. Anyone else got any recommendations? I want to be able to make proper coffees for visiting family - barista stylee!

At this point I am required to say Rancilio Sylvia. Because I love mine, despite its lack of refinement.

All depends on budget of course.

Love my gaggia classic, the Landover defender of the coffee world!

Sage Bambino / Bambino Plus look good value for money and get decent reviews too.

But remember, it's less about the coffee machine, more about the grinder and fresh beans :-)

Nice website Jacdaw - lots of info there.
Tiger - Sage gets good reviews for quite a few of their products I’ve noted. Stylish too.
Larkim - I’ve had 2 really good standalone Gaggia grinders in the past, so had a look at their coffee machines. I like the styling.

I got rid of my Krups grinder so any grinder recommendations would be great too.

If I got a Bambino, I’d have to put a picture of Paul Ritter on the side.

Non-tea drinker here and nowhere to talk about the caffeine bean, so I thought I'd start a thread. ...
