Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Yes, that's right, ok I went rock bottom at Aldi last week, and just thought, ok. I have one cup a day (well used to have one a day), first thing, and found it irritated me greatly, so I would like a few suggestions of decaf with a bit of oomph!

I remembered that Dr Fleecy had blogged recently about getting a non-disappointing decaf and then buying the beans for it. It was from a local place, which she didn't name in the blog, but perhaps if you fmail she could point you in the right direction?

Try an independent Ocelot. Two Day Coffee Roasters always have a good one on.

On decaf, I always miss the caffeine buzz, no matter how tasty the roast.

My aeropress nearly always travels with me now. Works nicely in hotel room too.

PactCoffee does some really good decafs, but they are pricey.

The CafeDirect Machu Picchu decaf is also pretty good, and you can buy it at many supermarkets.

Cafe Direct are good. I used to have the non-decaf Machu Picchu regularly before I got a grinder.

The Machu Picchu beans are one of my regulars, and it makes a good espresso.

An emergency dash to Morrisons ended up with their own espresso beans. If you like it dark and a bit bitter they make a good shot for a very reasonable price.

My daughter has had some barista training at her job at a kids soft play centre and made me a lovely mocha for when I picked her up after her shift.

Non-tea drinker here and nowhere to talk about the caffeine bean, so I thought I'd start a thread. ...
