There is no such thing here, RS. Missing a day or two, that is.

My dog used to like coffee. No cats were ever interested.

My cat partook in a latte when she was a kitten. She was totally spaced out, unable to work out what to do with herself. She never touched it since!

My shoes are partly made out of coffee grounds. I went to see a family of pigs this morning and the piglets were very keen on sampling them!

Are you sure that doesn't belong on the Predictive Text thread RS?

Positive GlennR. They are indeed made out of the caffeine bean.

Got this delivered today.
and also had my first stab at roasting beans. Just a clean dry pan on the job, heating and moving the beans around till they went deep brown. It tasted of coffee :-o which is a good start.

Coffee that tastes of coffee is better than Costco and Starbucks can do ;-)

I tried the pan roasting thing, but never quite got the hang of it. It makes the house smell nice, though.

It was never quite as good as the professional roasters.

There seems to be a whole subculture of home coffee roasters out there. Using popcorn machines as coffee roasters seems to be a thing in the US, if I remember correctly.

I am a staunch defender of Starbucks! It is pretty close to what I want coffee to taste like (for good or ill). Costa is rank watery horribleness though.

Would like to try roasting beans, if just for the experimentation, but I'd likely just burn them!

Non-tea drinker here and nowhere to talk about the caffeine bean, so I thought I'd start a thread. ...
