Oh crappy crap, CK. Hope you make a full recovery.

More volcano shenanigans here and even more of a shock when i saw 21.1 on my plan. (I thought it was 15 this weekend.) I compromised and did 18. -7C here so that counts as 21, n'est pas?

Very much so ITG!

Oh CK2 that is rubbish of the highest order, I'm so sorry. Fingers crossed, after six weeks of careful healing you'll be as good as new and raring to go.

More injury woes from me too though not as bad: my stupid knee was a little grumbly from the off but after about five miles it really became unignorable. I did my 'brisk walking' and after a bit I was able to run again, but in less than a mile it got too painful again so it was back to brisk walking. As it turned out I managed 10 miles in total but it took a lot longer than I wanted - inevitable given the amount of walking - but I really don't know what to do about this knee. It's so variable - sometimes it's fine, other times it isn't.

Does anyone here ever take paracetamol as a 'preventative' measure before a run? I don't want to take ibuprofen as it upsets my tummy though I do put gel on my knee after a run.

Keep Plodding On
Sorry to hear about your injury CK2, hope you get healed up as quickly as possible.

Unfortunately I’m in the same situation but with my knee which hasn’t healed up as I had hoped and I’m wondering if my running days may be over at the minute

I did my 1h 20m run on the treadmill because OH wanted to go to the gym. I quite enjoyed it but am very dismayed at the very low speed/pace/distance.

I am far away and safe but a little in shock at the latest volcano which has reached the village and burned down 2 homes already. Devastating for the families. Residents are out safely (though they got an emergency alarm at 3am and had to scarper fast so left everything). SAR and civil protection are there as are plenty sheep and household pets.
