Happy running, peeps. Snowing heavily here but plan says half so I'll wrap up and hope the gangrene does not get worse ๐. Feeling a bit worried but also irrationally proud about being hard enough to get frostbite 3 weeks ago and just get on with it ๐ฅถ๐. Having read more and seen the pictures, I am going to be a bit more careful. I regularly get frostnip in my fingers and it really hurts. I quite like having all ten though. |

Awesome Som I went to parkrun, but ended up marshalling instead of running. I did go for a swim after though. |

Did Chevin Forest parkrun. That was hard work and included a killer hill twice. Some nice downhill though. And Iโve achieved 100 miles this month ๐ |

Nice work LD! And great running to all who did so. The sea looks lovely Mandy! Had a lovely run with Fleecy and then a great breakfast with some friends. |

Carpathius Frostbite diagnosed by um/google on p258. Probably first weekend in Greenland when I ran a very cold half. It was -11C but significant windchill and snow on top of that. Front of tights froze combiner with layer of sweat under shorts and 15 min wait for the bus home probably did it. Of course I did nothing about it but it does not look very serious (though not obviously improving either). Today: ran half in heavy snow. Felt terrible. Still very slow and knackered after about 12km. Getting closer to bailing on marathon as I see no need to feel shit for 5 hours when I can opt to feel shit for 2.5 hours then cheer on you lot. 3 years ago, I was running significantly more volume but I honestly don't see how I can up my training now. I am chronically tired and never seem to recover between one run and the next. |
