Also:

Any idea about this weird bruising on my thighs? It started in Greenland and I wondered if it was related to running in the cold. It is roughly around where my thermal shorts stop, but mostly at the front and inside. However, I have had those shorts for about a decade and they have never done this before; and it it is not improving even when I don't wear them/it is a bit warmer.

Does it feel hot/sore ITG 🇮🇸 or just marks? (not a doctor)

Hopefully current issues just part of natural cycle & plateauing. Even if none of us can outrun time, you won’t have become a crap runner overnight. Keep doing the stuff that you know works and things will look up 🤞

Thanks, CD. I have become a crap runner over 3 years which is not much comfort.

Bruising is just that. Looks and feels like bruising, tender to touch but surface only.

ITG - I'm not a doctor, but your 'bruising' seems to match symptoms (off the web) of 'superficial frost bite', or 'surface'; more severe than frostnip but not the full blown version.
And on your thighs, look a minor case and nowhere near as bad as some of the web pictures.

That's helpful, Um, and would make sense. It was very cold some days (below -10c pliw windchill). Scared to look though...

Hope it will go away and not turn gangrenous.

I would suspect it is unlikely you’ll get gangrene ITG. I have bruises in the same place from crashing into the sides of desks and cupboard doors :-) well done for getting out there

Hope racerun went well Caz and you enjoyed the footie. I was paid time and a half for the bank holiday but am knackered now and dreading an early start tomorrow
