Hi gonks. We have had all the weathers here today.

First of all, I marshalled at Monsal Trail parkrun - it was pretty cold for the first 20 mins or so then the sun came out. Not sure if anyone watches the Running Channel on Youtube but Jess (one of the presenters) was running and she was 2nd lady home in 20:10.

Then we had the Chesterfield 5K race at 11am - we had horrible hail for a while! I aimed for sub 26 as I've got the 10K tomorrow so didn't want to attack it too much. Finished in 25:45 so perfecto.

Now for a lazy day. :-)

Oh dear LazyDaisy - in think of I’d been in a nice warm bus rather than out in it already. It’s been sunny in Chester this afternoon so hope you manage to get out for your run after all!

Very changeable here too! Rain, sun, hail (and a cold wind). First parkrun of a new age category and a faster time than last week, helped by the fact that I didn't need to wait for a herd of deer to cross

Well that turned out better than I expected!

It was lashing down before and after but the worst of the rain stayed off for the actual race, though it was still windy!

Cracking race for both of us! SB for me and SusiSue28 managed her longest distance in quite a while so was chuffed with that ☺️

Being a gent, I normally let ladies first but I'm ashamed to say I checked her on the line! She has forgiven me 🤣

We're back! It was quite tough, but I enjoyed more than I was expecting to under the circumstances!! Have now warmed up and will blog shortly :)

Also back. We had brilliant weather then I got caught in the hail 5 mins from home.

Not quite the time we were hoping for but had a great time and proud of my 30k today.

Woohoo! Three 700 racers, three results!

I put in the planned 29km but it was really hard. If I am still suffering like this on next long run, I will drop to half at Mývatn. This is mean to be fun. I don't have to run a marathon and I don't want potentially five hours of misery for no good reason.
