Knee continues to be annoying, niggly and tight The Pin Lady I’m trying to convince myself that I’m being sensible. I can run on it but when I do it’s sore, to the point of making me limp, the next day and if it’s doing that after 4 miles I’m fairly sure 17miles would result in a much longer layoff. It’s a beautiful morning hoping it’s not too warm for the Chester posse Hope you’re not too sore today christmasmental Sounded like a nasty tumble |

Hope CK is feeling better today. Comp - it is parkrun, not the diamond league! Unless it is multiloop and narrow, you aren't going to trouble the fast ones and, as LD says, just be aware of sho is behind you and where. 🍏🍏 runners! I have my "long run" today which is 12k - but every week it is "my furthest since April". Cold, still and dry which is just how I like it. Like my 🥂 |

what are your thoughts on run/walkers? I’m a long way off continuous running but wondering if I could run/walk a parkrun. My main worry would be getting in people’s way! It could be very irritating if someone keeps stopping to walk! I would say do it! We often take that approach when coming back from injury, in fact currently doing 5 min walk then run/walk to finish, no-one minds, we are considerate of others wanting to pass when we walk, no problem. |

CK2, I'm sure you'll still be faster than my run with walk breaks, parkrun encourages walkers too these days so you'll have no problem.

Thanks everyone ditching today’s run in favour of a walk I think.

Wholeheartedly agree that run/walk is perfectly valid at parkrun as anywhere else. Maybe don’t overtake someone just before your walk interval and stop in front of them but as you’re already thinking about how you’ll affect others, I don’t think you’re likely to do that

I always apologise as I overtake everyone on the downhill and tell them they'll get me back as we go up again as I have to walk then.
