Change of plan here as daughter feeling poorly.

Went out on bike to fishmongers instead. 32 miles later (and £25!) Am now home and trying to warm up. It was a biting freezing cold head wind all the way home

Realised half way down the M5 that I'd left my running shoes behind.

I have very old ones in Sidmouth but as I've a 12 miler on the plzn for this weekend I've ordered a new pair for delivery tomorrow :-)

Tested those new show with some proper water today.

Went through it rather than balance along the log 'bridge'. The GTX worked, I have dry feet.
And the shoes still look new.

Another 5 miles, ahead for the year and month! Quite a few deer, all way off though. And then an annoying (and poorly trained) dog went after the last group, last seen sprinting away with the owner calling and whistling with no effect.

Tried to make my treadmill run at the gym a bit more interesting today, so 4 x 800m at 4 minutes a piece. Had to swap treadmills in the middle because it was bouncing all over the place, probably struggling under my bulk. Anyhow, enjoyed the session and the 30 minutes passed a bit quicker.

Not Fenton. I once did see a dog chase 2 sheep across a path in front of me, followed about 30 seconds later by the dog haring back the other way with a ram (I assume) with fairly big pointy horns chasing it.
I'd like to see the deer chasing dog suddenly come up against a grumpy stag and have the chasing reversed.
