I use the NHS Couch to 5k with the various RR beginners. I find it works, despite the apparent jumps in terms of time spent running. Key to it (for complete beginners at least) is managing to do the run bits at conversational pace. We warn them that 30 minutes will not be 5k for many, they don't seem to mind. I don't find the distance jumps up as much as Molesy - but that may well be because most of our beginners are very slow.

My Garmin 225's battery is not lasting as long as it should. I've cleared the history which should have helped but it's made no difference. I think it's time for a new watch :-) Could I have opinions please on which Garmin to get? I'm not bothered about getting emails, texts, or music.

Fragile Do Not Bend
I’ve been considering a 45S as I find the 200 series a bit big for my skinny wrists. Based on the review on dcrainmaker it seems to do everything I’d want.

I've got a vivoactive 3 because I wanted something with smart notifications that's also a decent running watch. I had a forerunner 35 before. This one charges really quickly and the gps locates pretty much as soon as I get out of the door. I used to have to put the other one outside to get on with locating satellites whilst I got my trainers on. It is big though - the face is pretty much the width of my wrist. You can also take the strap off to wash it.

I went for my walk and got as much "Treasure" as I could and I've blogged it.

I have a Garmin 230 & chest strap. They're all a bit big and bulky for women I think.
