Letters to residents about our race all delivered and no fingers snapped by nasty letterboxes - glad I took a spare pair of gloves for my friend though, she's not done the job before and had no idea how vicious some can be :-)

I cycled there and back, so I've done my minimum level of activity for the day. The sun's out though so I'll bike over to see my mum. It'll give me a chance to get some more Treasure Hunt items too :-)

That's a good idea - I think I'll take the treasure hunt list on my walk and see how many I can get.

FDNB: my colleague has given me the following reply:
'If a person has never been affiliated to EA and joins an affiliated club from Jan 1st then EA extends their affiliation to 31st March the following year. This only applies to brand new affiliated members. I have in the past been caught out when reaffiliating previous members between Jan 1st and 31st Mar, as they need to be re-affiliated after 31st Mar of the current year [just like any other member then.]

Hope this helps!

PS! As regards the club membership fee, we generally (but not always) give them the 15 months membership.

Thanks Daisy that’s really helpful. I’ve been holding off entering any races until I found out.

6.5 miles done - 10:28m/m pace - that's fine for my long run :)
Wanting to add a mile a week to this.
So far, so good

I’ve really enjoyed our week in Scotland, being free from work so I can get out for a run or walk (or Run/Walk!) in daylight. I hope I can keep the mojo when I’m back at work on Monday.

Hello and welcome to WA and Gravic.

Another one here who suffered a wakeful night. Must have been something in the air.

It was the NHS C25K that I chose when "coming back" to running after a long time nursing a dodgy knee. I don't remember any problems with it, but I think I just adapted it to suit where I considered I was "at". 5k in 30 minutes was out of the question.

Welcome to the 700 miles in 2020 thread, everybody welcome. The thread motto is:
'700 miles is neither necessary nor sufficient'

At normal times: All you have to do is run about 1.91 miles per day or 13.46 miles per week or 58.33 miles per month and take a picture when you get to 700 miles. Extra points for bins :-) And if you go under or over 700 miles nobody will mind.

Join in the chat on the friendliest thread around - all things discussed, sometimes even running.
