Hark the Heleg-Advent Angels Sing
Morning all.

I'd planned to cycle to work through the cold dark damp winter morning, but early-morning-head-spinnage means I'm taking the car instead. That's two days of planned exercise gone. The up side is that I get to cuddle a nice warm dog for an extra half an hour after breakfast.

Wishing all those whose heads are still the right way up an enjoyable 10th day of Christmas, although I guess, like me, most will be working.

How do I get to listen to Fleecy's voice on a C25k? (I agree with the unreasonable hike on the NHS version)

Morning. :-)

Finally succumbed to the lurgy that has been afflicting OH and DD over christmas. Bit weird as I don't feel much of a cold yet but I am absolutely on fire and dripping sweat onto my keyboard as I type! Completely gross! :-O
Definitely a rest day for me today.

Morning! Great to welcome some new 700ers :-)

Yes we do natter *a lot* so don't worry about keeping up, it's good to hear from you whenever. There's a few Fetchies (including me) already signed up for the Gt South so will hopefully meet you there Gravic!

Delivering residents letters about our forthcoming race this morning. Two pairs of gloves will be needed - some letterboxes are ridiculously fierce!

Welcome newbies!
I do have a podcast, if anyone wants to download it just pop me an fmail and I’ll send you a link.

Haven’t started running yet, giving my legs a break. Yoga is ongoing. Trying to work out whether to do XC or adventure race on Sunday as my usual fellow adventurers aren’t up to running and not sure I fancy getting lost on Box Hill alone!

Morning

Terrible night's sleep.

Yoga later, I hope. Perhaps a run.

Walked to work. -8C, headwind, ridiculously icy and dark. Now in bad mood for the rest of the day as I think the weather has now defeated my will to run.

Intervals last night. The club session wasn’t on so I ran up and down a couple of streets opposite (to the amusement of some PJ-clad neighbours who were smoking on their front step). It was a bit shit really, partly (mostly?) because it was dark and I was scared of tripping and so couldn’t keep looking at my watch to see if I was hitting the pace. I wasn’t, although I tried. Then I did my strength stuff. Today my shoulders and hips are sore.

Welcome to the 700 miles in 2020 thread, everybody welcome. The thread motto is:
'700 miles is neither necessary nor sufficient'

At normal times: All you have to do is run about 1.91 miles per day or 13.46 miles per week or 58.33 miles per month and take a picture when you get to 700 miles. Extra points for bins :-) And if you go under or over 700 miles nobody will mind.

Join in the chat on the friendliest thread around - all things discussed, sometimes even running.
