I've never heard that about ibuprofen. (also thought that Volterol was just another variation.) I've taken a bit of ibuprofen for a face ache I've had this week but I'm loathe to take it on any kind of regular basis.

What about Ibuprofen gel? Does that do anything at all?

Columba no not as bad, 48 hours only then back to normal, -7 with windchill during the day and possibility of snow in some areas.
I figure wrap up warm and should be ok

Gel should be fine as you’re applying it topically and so much less acting internally. You will absorb some but not like taking a dose.
