T1 got lost in Newquay town centre when she was about 5. They have a system that alerts all the shops to a lost child but it still took over 15 minutes to find her. Police were there by then too. I have rarely cried so hard as when I saw her with an older lady who was trying to find a police officer.

Teen 1 got lost when she was about 4. We were at a playground and she’s gone to the older children’s section and was happily and confidently playing!

It’s heart stopping though. So difficult to stay calm but if you don’t you can’t concentrate on finding them.

Ds2 ran off at Legoland when he was 3, it was fucking scary. Happened in a split second and still gives me palpitations just thinking about it!

I've managed to lose all three of mine at one point or another - daughter on a crowded beach was the scariest I think - you'd have thought I'd have learnt to keep them on a lead after the first time!
It's been a fairly nice day here today, and a really nice evening - I saw the barn owl and several bats whilst walking the dog at dusk. Find it hard to believe that it's going to start snowing at midnight!
to all racers this weekend!
AL - take care not to race the 20, do you have a plan?

I do indeed RH and racing it is definitely not part of it Mr AL & Sophie are with me - we will be running it at training pace (and possibly battling blizzards and gale force winds...)

16 miles tomorrow so foot being ice'd as a precaution.
I read somewhere that Ibuprofen in tablet form is not good to take on a long run...right or wrong? Should I just use volterol in the morning?
