More Adrenaline GTS 17s, LG. I like the look of the 18's but I read a review which suggested that they've increased the drop to 12mm (I *think* that's more than the previous models) and the reviewer reckoned they 'made' him heel strike and were too cumbersome for anything more than LSR training. The 18s are quite a radical re-design. and as I know the 17's are fine for me, and are quite a bit cheaper, that's what I've gine for. (Using Fetch's Amazon link, natch.)

I wear the 16's but was going to get my gait looked at before I bought another pair. I know nothing of the science behind any trainers but found these seem to work in the wider fit.

That made me chuckle Seren :)

Dramatic first day back at work for me. Arrived to find an ambulance and two police cars at entrance near work. Turns out back of colleagues car went on black ice and narrowly avoided a pedestrian. Unfortunately the pedestrian slipped when avoiding the car and hurt their hip.

Whilst the guy was being treated 5 folk, including one of the police officers, also slipped and fell. Road and pavements looked fine but even my car slid a wee bit as I approached the scene.

GWS to all the unwell people. I seem to only get ill when I’m off work. Friday is my 14 year work anniversary and I’ve never had a day off sick.

Now have rest of the week off so fingers crossed I don’t get ill!

Upsetting night tonight at track session had a club mate collapse we were all ushered away ambulance and first aid responder on scene no news just hope/pray he is ok.

The session was being taken by a coach from England Athletics and up to that point I found it very informative and would recommend it to anyone who gets the chance to attend but it was obviously right to stop.

About This Thread

Welcome to the 700 miles in 2018 thread, everybody welcome :-)

The thread motto is:

'700 miles is neither necessary nor sufficient'

All you have to do is run about 1.91 miles per day or 13.46 miles per week or 58.33 miles per month and take a picture when you get to 700 miles of either you or the spot you reached the target or both if you want to. And if you go under or over 700 miles nobody will mind.

Join in the chat on the friendliest thread around - all things discussed and sometimes even some running is talked about.

Next year's spreadsheet can be found here - let's fill it up
