I've not actually had frozen shoulder but I do get stiff across my shoulders and have found a great massage guy who I see about every 6 months and he works miracles on it. I got myself a short notice appointment with him this afternoon and my back feels great now. I may feel a bit bruised tomorrow though. When I first started getting this "shoulder" problem I saw a physio, who didn't fix it. Then I saw my usual massage guy, who didn't fix it. Then I saw another massage guy I'd used, who didn't fix it. Then I saw this one who I'd seen once before, and he fixed it. |

International Troublemaking Grouch
My first "run" of the year - like Columba, a walk/run of a grand 1.7 miles. It'll take me a while to catch up on the table but at least I'll be on it! Back is a bit grumbly but I don't think it was running so much as being at home all day so working on the bed rather than standing. However, very cheap standy-uppy-desk coming from Ikea next week! ikea.is (For those of you new the thread, for the last six months, all I have talked (moaned) about is my back injury. I'm hoping to have something else to whinge about soon though.) |

Struggling to keep up with the thread as I’ve been working away for a couple of days which also meant no running. Weights now and hills tomorrow.

Yep, frozen shoulder/impingement over here. Mine has taken the best part of 18 months to recover to the point where I'm not in continual pain and can do things like tucking a shirt in without being in agony. I still wouldn't want to throw a ball with any effort though. It took a steroid injection to sort mine out in the end. |

that's not true, ITG, you have moaned a lot about work politics too Farnbrrrrr, lol CStar I'm looking forward to it rather bizarrely. Hopefully it won't be as cold as last year, and hopefully this bloody cough will have gone by then because it won't be pretty otherwise... |

Thanks, guys. The physio mentioned steroid injection and suggested I get myself to the GP to start the process.

My GP referred me to a local surgery that has a specialist musculoskeletal clinic who carried out the steroid injection directly into the bursa whilst using an ultrasound scan to make sure it was going into the right place. After the Achilles I wasn't taking any chances which was partly why it took so long, I wanted to exhaust the physio options before going down the steroid route.
