Wotcha 700-ers For some reason my school (in Brighton) owned a former schoolhouse in a tiny village in Wales called Boughrood. So we all went there at every opportunity. If I’m honest I have no real memory of what we did there, but I do know that we had special ‘Boughrood sweatshirts’ and that mine still fits me. It’s 25 years old.

Swanage won't be overrun with kids Um, they will be occupied every day doing 'stuff'. I wouldn't be put off.

I didn't know Swanage was a real place? I just assumed it was made up for television. I thought the same about Pinner and Surbiton for a long time.

Columba - I'd heard of "Race The Train" & "Race The Horse" but hadn't heard of the bore-related race that LD blogged about.
LD - you're correct, no 5* bores this year (except at night) so the 4* one on Fri (plus 2 more 4* in early March) will have to suffice. I like Swanage - nice cliff-top walks and fish & chips on the prom afterwards ..

The one bonus to being short-staffed is that there are radiators under desks not being used, so I can dry my kit and be sure of a run home this eve to make up for this morning's lost miles. Well I didn't actually lose them, just CBA to run them.

I like Swanage - just as well as the extended family all gets together there for a week every summer!

What a hairy lair of gossips you lot are.
I'm considering a dreadmill attempt at lunchtime and a very very gentle Xfit tonight followed by a good swim. The cramps are gone, the headache is nearly gone and the back is its usual PITA.
My friend is hoping to get out of hospital today so now we have to force him to take a proper sick leave.

Our year 6 residential trip (it wasn’t Y6 then, it was Year 5 junior school) was to the Isle of Wight. My best friend Joanna and I spent the holiday buying every postcard of cats we could find, and other cat-related memorabilia. I know we went to Blackgang Chine, The Needles and Robin Wood, but can’t remember a lot else.

I’ve been to spin this morning, and didn’t some yoga afterwards. Work this afternoon then full day off tomorrow. Might aim for a long run though weather not looking great.
