Oh dear PH, the perils of children! I hope they're both a lot better very soon.

I won't say where, but on a previous placement I've done a night shift with just me, two nurses and an HCA to look after a whole ward of 28 patients. It was 13 hours of utter stress and worry.

Interviews usually go better than you think SK - I'll keep my fingers crossed luck

I'm re-evaluating running plans for this year. The three-day event is unlikely to go well so I might try to find someone to take my place and then try to get a solo place at Reading Endure because I love it.

SK, I'm sure it went better than you thought, fingers crossed for you.

PH - hope the girls are feeling better soon.

Carp, if you like a 24 hour event, have you had a look at this one spitfirescramble.co.uk ? It has the added bonus that I rock up to support at some point with a flask of gin!!

Grateful & sympathetic (()) to all nhs workers.

I too couldn’t raise my arms for days because of the 5000 challenge, it’s sustainable, those were the only days I missed, my attempts are improving slowly.
Morning :-)

Morning. Thanks for the support, though still feel pretty miserable today. Som - I wouldn't want to bring politics in either, but if I ever meet Jeremy *unt I'd cheerfully rip his head off and spit down his neck :-)
I have zero strength in my arms, it's embarrassing
SK - what kwala said, maybe it wasn't as bad as you felt x
PH - oh dear, hope you don't catch any of it
*searches for cymbals or similar noisy instrument*
Right. Time to get going. Another day in paradise beckons...

Lots of lovely chatter on here as always and life stuff means I’m struggling to keep up but I’ll be back at some point, I’m sure.

Keep up the good work, chaps :)

About This Thread

Welcome to the 700 miles in 2018 thread, everybody welcome :-)

The thread motto is:

'700 miles is neither necessary nor sufficient'

All you have to do is run about 1.91 miles per day or 13.46 miles per week or 58.33 miles per month and take a picture when you get to 700 miles of either you or the spot you reached the target or both if you want to. And if you go under or over 700 miles nobody will mind.

Join in the chat on the friendliest thread around - all things discussed and sometimes even some running is talked about.

Next year's spreadsheet can be found here - let's fill it up
