This was a good year to get rejected but it still annoys me that out of 12 applications I’ve only been successful once, and the probability of getting a place is less likely every year

Huzzah for a mended Bint
Went out with MrsP for another run walk tonight:-), I then did another 5 on my own
Had my rejection email tonight, but I still have my marshals ballot place apparently even though we are guaranteed a place we are still expected to try and gain entry via the ballot.

Why does the probability get less every year, Dio? Because more and more people are applying every year?
Been to the spin bike class, first for months. I had been told it would be taken by my preferred instructor. It was not. Still, it was a pretty good session (had me dripping onto the handlebars).

They keep moving the goalposts Columba - there were complaints that it was too hard to get online and enter before the goodness knows how many ballot tickets closed so they scrapped the number limit and left entries open for a week - hence 414,168 entries for ? 15000 places this year. Whilst they keep the ballot open that long (increased bequeathed entries/ more for "charity") there are only going to be more raffle tickets for the same number of places. I've got 6 years to knock an hour off my PB and get a GFA...

And they reduced the number of club places a couple of years ago too. I really can't understand why people want to do it - all that noise and crowds and pressure

At least you’ve had one successful entry Dio. Some people haven’t had any. (Easy for me to say I know getting in twice on first two attempts).
It’s such an iconic race LD. I’d love to run it again. Not sure if I’ll enter club ballot as would like someone else who hasn’t ran it to have increased chance.
