Good luck for XC tomorrow all of you. CStar, perhaps you should walk out 5 minutes into the class next time then go and complain, they might get the message then. I remember doing that in a circuits class once, no-one really had a clue what they were supposed to be doing (not sure the instructor did either), couldn't hear them and boring. I gave up and walked out and complained on the way out.

International Troublemaking Grouch
Planning a wee, modified, Xfit later. What isn't doable is adaptable.
I am also going to ask my physio (if I remember!) if the things I definitely cannot do in the gym - like tow to bar or knees to elbow (on the bar) could be doable in water. I tried the latter, very cautiously, last night in the pool (hanging onto the bottom of the diving block) and it was ok but I was scared to repeat. Physio should know if the water support is enough to save my back or if there is still too much demand on it.

I've never spun either Linds, probably as I haven't ever been member of a gym that offered it.

Fierce and Focused Fleecy
Went to Zumba *wiggles arse* I’ve only done spinning once, I’m sure I’d enjoy it if I had a good teacher but I enjoy my current classes too much to bother fitting anything extra in.

I’ve started going to spin as there is a spin studio here, that’s all they do and you don’t have to book too far in advance.
I’ve done four classes, all with different instructors and all very different. Whilst I appreciate the ones with weights and arm things I prefer the more dedicated cycling ones, as the main reason I’m doing it is for bike fitness.

I think I'd find spin classes too hard. That's a pathetic excuse isn't it?
Lem I've had a funny little lump removed from my earlobe, and it turned out to be Nothing to Worry About - I'm willing to bet it'll be the same for you but it's as well to get these things checked and removed if necessary.
Now at the seaside The sea is rusty brown coloured (it goes like this here when there's been a lot of rain and storms, and run-off from the fields and cliffs) and was very uninviting-looking - yet there was a chap undressing on the beach to go for a skins swim

We have a tri club spin class on a Monday evening at home run by a great coach, which is properly focused on on bike fitness and exercises.
Here in London one of the gym instructors is excellent and his classes are always over-subscribed. I go to his on a Thursday lunch time normally, but couldn't yesterday, which is why I went to the C-grade one today as better than nothing, but I've decided it just makes me cross (!)
I need to get a road bike up here to the office so I can go out on that in the real world instead. I can get to Richmond Park and so away from the traffic to make a lunchtime ride worthwhile, as the weather improves.

Spin can be hard but you control your own resistance. My first class I was quite conservative but I’m better at judging now. Though I do sometimes nudge it with my leg and find a sudden change in resistance.
I haven’t found it beyond me.
There should be beginners or easy classes to get started.
