Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

I’m a big spin fan. Or RPM as it’s called at my gym (that’s the Les Mills branding I think). I try and go when there’s a specific instructor as she’s really helpful but a good laugh at the same time. Tried a virtual class the other week and it was actually really good.

Meg - have never done any arm stuff in any of the classes I’ve done. Bikes we have are very user friendly as has gear thing to go from light, medium or heavy load. And a dial for the resistance.

Saying that I’ve not done an RPM class this week due to DOMS from hell earlier in the week. Booked in for a class today but didn’t notice the time until after class would have started. That’ll be a black mark against my name!

I like spinning but haven't been for nearly a year, as soon as the weather's okay I prefer to get outside. I like it when they do arm stuff, although never used weights, but they seem to have stopped doing it in recent years. I always find it really hard doing the stand-up spinning, you need a really strong core for that. :-o

I finally got out for my run this afternoon. I think I can't have had enough fuel in the tank as I felt quite strange after 1 1/2 miles so did lots of walk breaks and cut it shorter than my planned route.

I find the standing hard but the instructors seem to do a lot of it. And this week’s did standing hovers, turning the pedals very slowly but keeping the body still. Super hard!

Lovely 5+ mile walk done with the little dog. Just got back from having a curry with Mr Woo. Feet up with a glass of wine.
Strangely nervous about parkrun in the morning - maybe because I don't run it very often.

As you know Moo, you're not likely to get any helpful suggestions from me when it comes to meals ....

Well done, Linds! Have a good run tomorrow.

About This Thread

Welcome to the 700 miles in 2018 thread, everybody welcome :-)

The thread motto is:

'700 miles is neither necessary nor sufficient'

All you have to do is run about 1.91 miles per day or 13.46 miles per week or 58.33 miles per month and take a picture when you get to 700 miles of either you or the spot you reached the target or both if you want to. And if you go under or over 700 miles nobody will mind.

Join in the chat on the friendliest thread around - all things discussed and sometimes even some running is talked about.

Next year's spreadsheet can be found here - let's fill it up
