11 miles for me tonight, am about to eat some food and then off over the road to watch Sherlock. :-)

Made some choconana muffins and macaroni cheese today. Slurp.

8 miles for me this afternoon. Struggled initially to keep the pace down but a trip up Shooters Hill sorted that out :-)

Also did junior parkrun with the kids this morning

Thank you all for your good wishes. The Knee is being rested and elevated but not iced as I read somewhere that you shouldn't treat arthritis with cold.

I'm being careful Columba, I promise. It just felt so good to be back out there!

LD, I've had to make a call at the last minute. People will get over it if they need to and most are totally supportive if you do have to cancel.

Fish pie tonight. I used a bigger dish so once the fish went in it looked too little so I had to do more. It still vanished completely (apart from the leeks which the kids always pick out).

Cheese and chorizo leftover potato skins in the 'fridge for tomorrow :)

XC was good fun. Muddy and wet. Haven't done Cliveden before, the steps were a bugger. 172 steps, each about 2 strides so you were always stepping up off the same leg unless you could get a 3rd stride in. You also get to do these twice.
Rolled my ankle at one point. Didn't tink about it at the time but it bloody hurts now. No bruising yet but will check in morning.

Welcome to the 700 miles in 2017 thread, everybody welcome :-)

The thread motto is:

'700 miles is neither necessary nor sufficient'

All you have to do is run about 1.91 miles per day or 13.46 miles per week or 58.33 miles per month and take a picture when you get to 700 miles of either you or the spot you reached the target or both if you want to. And if you go under or over 700 miles nobody will mind.
