Oh no to the injuries!!

Looking at the local weather forecast maybe the time to have a bug is now looks like a challenging few days afraid... not that I believe anything the weather forecasters tell me.

Having seen the week's weather forecast on Countryfile I'm already worrying about Saturday's parkrun and the potential iciness on the paths (I'm RD so it'll be my call whether to cancel.)

Oh dear, Daisy, what a responsibility. Do you try and let as many as possible know in advance? - I suppose you can put it on the website.

I wouldn't worry about something 6 days in advance, the weather forecasts are not that accurate!

We'll leave it nearer the time but if it's looking iffy we'll put a note on the website and social media warning people it might be cancelled at short notice.

Boo to the niggles but woo hoo to proper good running bunting

First race of the year done and dusted. A handsome and indisputable PW for a half marathon. Or looked at another way, extremely good value for money - over 3 hours of chat and giggles, a t-shirt and a hog roast.

Oh no Columba :-(
Some amazing running been happening bunting for all - whether it's a LSR, or a celebratory getting-over-the-lurgy short one.

Very short run here. Rest of the day endlessly traipsing back and forth between kitchen and house. And tip. And my back is officially trashed, but still need to move the dryer, fridge and dishwasher. How much stuff can be crammed into one kitchen?!!

I saw the countryfile forecast too, but my BBC weather ap is telling me it's going to be +6 next Saturday.

XB, that sounds like a brilliant way to spend a Sunday :-)

Welcome to the 700 miles in 2017 thread, everybody welcome :-)

The thread motto is:

'700 miles is neither necessary nor sufficient'

All you have to do is run about 1.91 miles per day or 13.46 miles per week or 58.33 miles per month and take a picture when you get to 700 miles of either you or the spot you reached the target or both if you want to. And if you go under or over 700 miles nobody will mind.

Join in the chat on the friendliest thread around - all things discussed and sometimes even some running is talked about.

Happy running :-)
