Carp, at least you didn't have the eyes of millions on you like Paula did. ;-)

Som, hope that stomach of yours settles down soon. :(

RA, good recovery there.

Evening. It's my young uns 15th birthday. Treated him to dinner at Ciquitos (well the ex did, do you see how bloody expensive that place is) I went for the mainly healthy options, but then hoovered up a ton of tortilla chips. Well I ever learn!

I gardened all day and can actually see the progress I've made which is always a bonus, and I've been to circuits, but tbh running there and back was beyond my energy reserves after battling with tons of ivy, couch grass and brambles.

Sadly, I now have a sore right upper arm to match the sore left upper arm. I'm hoping it'll settle after a night's sleep - and I do hope that good amount of sleep has been restorative for you too Som, it's miserable to be feeling persistently below par.

I am so easily led ;-). A friend from parkrun posted on FB that she wants to improve on her 'awful' (her words, and true) Chelt HM time last year and was there anyone who fancied training with her?

So, obviously, I have signed up again. My target is to not be overtaken by penguins at mile 11, or serenaded with 'Another one bites the dust' at mile 12. And not to say, at mile 13.1, 'I'm never running another Half Marathon' :-)

Sorry to hear you are still out of sorts Som. Hope your sleep did you good.

You'll do great LD.

Well done FR.

Gentle 5 mile recovery run tonight. Legs feeling surprisingly ok after yesterday. Glad of a rest day tomorrow though.

About This Thread

Welcome to the 700 miles in 2016 thread, everybody welcome :-)

The thread motto is:

'700 miles is neither necessary nor sufficient'

All you have to do is run about 1.91 miles per day or 13.46 miles per week or 58.33 miles per month and take a picture when you get to 700 miles of either you or the spot you reached the target or both if you want to. And if you go under or over 700 miles nobody will mind.

bunting and 700er medals are often spotted around here.

Happy running :-)
