Try typing when a bullmastiff wants to sit on your lap, RH. In fact, try breathing with a BM on your lap :-)

Evening all - I am so far off 100 mile month that it is ridiculous. I have managed 5 miles tonight with club - was faster than last run but still very slow. Am sure it will get easier......

Evening all, good job I read about the 100-mile photo - hopefully after Sunday's long run I will hit 100. That will be a total first. We (me and bruv) will be running from TVP to Mapledurham Lock - to me that is most definitely a car journey, but is only 7 miles, so 14 there and back, which for me is a very long way.

Pretty grim out there this evening at PP, very windy :-0

It will MM.

RH, it's more that I'm not doing long runs - recent ones have been quantity over quality unfortunately.

Carp my strengthening tutor is an ultra runner (this year's 'treat' she's entered is the Plague 100k mudcrew.co.uk ) but she never does a training run that's longer than 13 miles! She reckons that strengthening work on core muscles is more useful than doing really long runs. So though you might think your running now lacks 'quality', it almost certainly doesn't.

About This Thread

Maintained by iRan
Welcome to the 700 miles in 2016 thread, everybody welcome :-)

The thread motto is:

'700 miles is neither necessary nor sufficient'

All you have to do is run about 1.91 miles per day or 13.46 miles per week or 58.33 miles per month and take a picture when you get to 700 miles of either you or the spot you reached the target or both if you want to. And if you go under or over 700 miles nobody will mind.

bunting and 700er medals are often spotted around here.

Happy running :-)
