Clothed - they'd better be!

Was in Aber today, which gave me access to a running track on which to do 5 x 400m with walk breaks in between, and a warm-up and cool-down.

Weather was - guess what? - Wet and windy.

GM - impressed by the January running streak.

DiscoSteve - like the avatar

SallyKate - try * moon * without the spaces.

Nobody wants a photo of my moon, clothed or otherwise. I'll use that picture of Som's instead, nobody will know.

:) :) I'm sorry, but there'll be no moon picture from me if I get to 100 this weekend - I'm not that flexible!

LD - I read a book suggesting that to run an Ultra mega mileage in training wasn't necessary - but the author spoiled it by letting on that he had several years of consistent high mileage and was maintaining his endurance by entering lots of events and his training plan was shorter faster stuff and lots of core work.

Since keeping a strong core is the common denominator I will try to be more consistent with core work. But there is no bloody way I'm doing long events without putting in a fair few long runs (or rather run-walks) beforehand!

Carp - where do you stand on the defined run-walk plan? would the 4:1 that some of us are finding rather magic work for you?

Yawns, should be in bed - but I got home from picking up daughter and there was an open bottle of wine left on the coffee table. It would be rude not to settle down with a glass :)

About This Thread

Welcome to the 700 miles in 2016 thread, everybody welcome :-)

The thread motto is:

'700 miles is neither necessary nor sufficient'

All you have to do is run about 1.91 miles per day or 13.46 miles per week or 58.33 miles per month and take a picture when you get to 700 miles of either you or the spot you reached the target or both if you want to. And if you go under or over 700 miles nobody will mind.

bunting and 700er medals are often spotted around here.

Happy running :-)
