Another two dark beers last night both from Mighty Oak brewery in Maldon.

118 Cat and fiddle. A 4.4% porter lovely and malty

119 The horribly named Bingle Jells a dark winter warmer quite strong at 5.2%. Tasted good though so I had another!

I agree that Little Critters are a good brewer. but not sure about sweet flavoured stouts or porters, too sweet for my taste. Each to their own.

I have the Brewdog 12 Beers of Christmas to work through :)

Few I've had before, many I have not.

Started on the Cake Cartel, a 6% Hazelnut stout. I am gradually coming round to it.

Also in the last couple of days, I've had a bottle of Ennerdale Blonde and a Westerns cider.

Just before Christmas a friend had a party and bought a couple of 18 pt polypins from Mighty Oak which I think can count. So quite a few from mighty oak to finish the year

120 wonky Donkey a golden ale
121 jake the snake another golden ale

Then on Christmas Day our local had
122 polar star a very pale ale from Buntingford brewery
123 boltmaker a traditional bitter from Timothy Taylor’s

I suspect that will be it from me as I don’t think pub visits are on our agenda for the next week.

A few pubs round our way have beers from Mighty Oak fairly frequently - I quite like Jake the Snake although I don't see it all that often.

No/Lo
33. (can) Brewdog Elvis Juice Alcohol Free (0.5%). Another grapefruit-infused alco-free beer, but not as succeful as the Erdinger Radler, IMHO.
34. (can) Brewdog Hazy Jane Alcohol Free (0.5%).

Cans
48. (can) Elusive Brewing Fog City (5%).
And I found today that Sainsbury's are flogging off the Brewdog 12 Beers of Xmas cases for a tenner, so:
49. (can) Brewdog Lost in Blood Orange (4.5%). Again with the citrus!
50. (can) Brewdog 5am Saint (5.0%). Not the worst way to close out the list.

I suspect that's likely to be my lot for the year, but I'll confirm in the new year with my complete lists of No/Lo, cans, bottles and draft beers (all of which I stopped recording after 50).

and here we are in 2024....

I still really like a pint.

I think this is not too controversial health wise. Lots of beers about these days. I interpret it as different beers within 2023, and you can, if you like; avoid beers you have had before, but as ever the list is yours to do what you like.
