Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Same here. Amazingly I had a pint if cider last night. A very rare event indeed. Very nice too. I think I will do a big update on the 1st and kick of the 2023 thread ;-) .

I'm going to try to do better on the 2023 thread. In fact I am heading down to the Giddy Goat later (a specialist beer shop in Norfolk) to stock up but I may have to start my 2023 list from this evening as I am not going to wait till midnight before I open some of them!

Oh dear, I've fallen a long way behind on this one. Not in the drinking, you understand, but in the recording of the drinking. Not sure it's salvageable for this year but I could be tempted to try again.... ;)

My recording was woeful. I have dropped enough beers into Untappd that I know I have got past 50, but I suspect it's a fair bit more than the 60-odd I've recorded there.

I forgot to update after my holiday, but was keeping a list on my phone (yes, I was that person photographing the beer pumps...)
Then my phone died and I lost the lot.

Glad to hear there's a 2023 thread!

Good effort. Yes. Next year will happen. I think 50 different within 2023, rather than different to 2022 or before, but as ever it'll be your list.

I currently have a glass of Elephant Hawk IPA...very nice. I shall try and get my list sorted tomorrow but may well fail.....

I also very much fell behind in recording. Pretty sure I passed the fifty some time back. Lidl/Aldi beer festivals alone gave me 15-20 I've not logged. And 20ish in a Flavourly case.

Thank you OS for starting this thread. As someone who went to a pub and ordered something I knew, It has been very interesting to explore new beers rather than stick to the ones I know I like. I have discovered some lovely ales that I wouldn’t normally have tried, (and some that weren’t to my taste). It hasn’t caused be to drink more just differently.

Happy 2023 to you all

Another thak you, Ocelot Spleens, for starting this thread. I have had an interesting and enjoyable time, but I'm not going to join the 2023 thread I don't think - this year has brought out my trainspotterish tendencies and I'd found myself drinking a beer I didn't actually enjoy just to nudge my count up on too many occasions (although I reserve the right to change my mind, and may join with a self-imposed 'beers I have enjoyed' condition).

Frustrating that I couldn't get more no/low alcholic beers on there, and I only managed to get it that high thanks to various trips abroad. The UK definitely has some catching-up to do in that area, but for those who remember the bad old days of choosing between Kaliber or a lemonade it's a definite reason to be cheerful.

About This Thread

Maintained by Ocelot Spleens
and here we are in 2025....

I still really like a pint.

I think this is not too controversial health wise, besides it's quality I prefer not volume.

Lots of beers about these days. I interpret it as different beers within 2025, and you can, if you like; avoid beers you have had before, but as ever the list is yours to do what you like.

Also interesting to see how variable local areas are!
