Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

I like a pint.

I think this is not too controversial health wise. Lots of beers about these days. I thought I might make it 50 new beers, but that would mean me turning down one I like, so different it was.

So far. Some were half's.

Table Service 3.2% cloudwater
Lagonda, Pale Ale, 5.0%, marble
Old Speckled Hen, 5.5%
Low Rider, 3.9%, Bristol Beer Factory
Ichiban Shibori Premium, 5.5%, Kirin
Youngs Special London, 4.5%, Eagle
Citra, 4.2%, Oakham
Town Crier, 4.5%, Hobson's

Ooh, finally a 50 different... I can get on board with! (I was tempted by the cheese one, but I'm too unadventurous for it to be realistic. I don't like blue cheeses for starters...)

If memory serves me well:
Staropramen Premium Czech Lager 5%
Ape Ale 5.4% Blue Monkey
Tawny IPA 5.4% Butcome
Raspberry Kir Royal 11.5% Vault City (this was a 1/3!)
Atlantic IPA 4.8% Sharp's
Bavaria 0.0%
Punk AF 0.5% Brewdog
Dead Pony 3.8% Brewdog
Blue Moon 5%

I'm on this pint. Are bottled ones allowed too? Or maybe I'll keep the bottled ones on a separate list:
OK so pub beers:
pint Old Man and the Sea 4.1% Mighty Oak
pint Incredible Pale Ale 4.7% Fat Cat
pint Old 4.1% Adnams

That's just this weekend - I need to think back to last weekend and the weekend before or perhaps I will just start the list here.

Bottled Beers now:
Plum Porter - 5.0% St Peters
Golden Pale Ale - 5.0% Elmtree Beers
Cream Stout - 6.5% St Peters
Broken Dream - 6.5% Siren (OK this was actually in a can but still my pick of the bunch so far)
Low Tide 0.5% Shipyard
Doom Bar Zero 0.0% - Sharps
(that's just what was in the recycling box there is probably more that I will need to recall unless I assume starting from here)

So 9 so far in total

Bottles are in, as are cans. One ahead of me, but it is not a race, quality first.

My son and I got a mystery box of 12 craft beers each from beermerchants.com at £25 plus postage They were were mostly different contents too in each box. They were good. Even had a deya in both. Some are a little past the best before dates (and this was explained) but not all , but that had no effect. I thought it a great offer. Coincidentally we went to the deya tap room yesterday I'm cheltenham which was fab. 25 beers on tap.

Ps .. for beermerchants ...When I bought mine I got 10% off by using THANKJACK as a discount code.

I do realise that at this rate we could hit 50 different beers by end of feb

and here we are in 2025....

I still really like a pint.

I think this is not too controversial health wise, besides it's quality I prefer not volume.

Lots of beers about these days. I interpret it as different beers within 2025, and you can, if you like; avoid beers you have had before, but as ever the list is yours to do what you like.

Also interesting to see how variable local areas are!
